The 8Bitdo Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox is on sale for just $29 at Amazon. That’s a record low price and represents a 36 percent discount. That’s a pretty great deal, especially when considering that first-party Xbox controllers go for around $60.

This isn’t a cheap imitation. 8Bitdo makes great controllers that regularly land on our best-of lists. It’s licensed by Xbox and is compatible with Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 and above. In other words, it can serve as a PC and Xbox controller.

There are two extra buttons on the back that aren’t included with the official controller, which can be useful for mapping (especially with PC games.) To that end, the controller offers custom button mapping and stick/trigger sensitivity for control over vibration.

The Hall effect joystick and impulse triggers should increase both durability and sensitivity while reducing drift. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack at the back for connecting directly to headphones. Other features include a classic D-pad and improved grip.

So what’s special? It’s in the name itself. It’s a wired controller, which is both a boon and a curse. Wired controllers offer low latency, which makes them the preferred choice for pro-level gamers, but keeps people tied to cables. It comes with a fairly long cable of around ten feet, but a standard Bluetooth controller has a wireless range of around 20 feet.

Laptops are evolving rapidly, with some new models using AI-powered features that adapt to your usage and improve performance in real-time. These AI PCs can optimize battery life, manage power across tasks, and even enhance webcam quality during video calls.

While AI integration in laptops is still relatively new, it’s a feature you should look into if you’re considering making your setup future-proof. Plus, it’s exciting to see how these AI-powered PCs can handle everything from productivity to entertainment, delivering smart adjustments and enhancements that can make our digital lives a little easier.

Of all the notebooks we’ve tested and reviewed recently, we consider Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air M3 to be the best laptop for most people, and that’s the case among our top picks to start the new year.

It’s powerful enough to handle most tasks (even light video editing); it has a great screen and built-in speakers; and its battery can last about 20 hours (depending on what you’re doing, of course). The MacBook Air M3 is also one of the lightest and thinnest systems we’ve reviewed, and it’s downright quiet thanks to its fanless design.

Although Apple recently used its new M4 chip in the iPad Pro, we don’t see it in the MacBook Air until next year. For now, the MacBook Air M3 is still a great laptop to buy, especially if you want a machine with good battery life.

Of course, not everyone wants a MacBook, and there are excellent Windows laptops and Chromebooks available as well. Windows systems offer a variety of configurations, from budget to high-end UHD screens with stunning IPS panels that boast high nits for excellent brightness.

Chromebooks, on the other hand, are more affordable and are great for users who work mostly online. Whether you need a powerhouse for creative work, a compact system for taking notes, or a laptop that can handle movie night with the family, today’s laptop market has something for everyone.
